Culture Night 2015 in Dublin is almost upon us again, and you’re thinking, “where on earth did a year go?

For the last few years this amazing night of open doors in Dublin has brought out the Culture Vulture in us and, knowing our way around a little bit now, we thought we’d share some of our favourite things to do on Culture Night 2015 this Friday, September 18th. So for the next three days we’re going to recommend our Top 5 Things Do And See On Culture Night In Dublin.

1. BLOCK T Open Studios, Smithfield

BLOCK T is a truly amazingarts space for creatives. With workspace facilities, a darkroom, print studio and more this grate organisation will throw open their doors on Culture Night 2015 to showcase an output of their studio members. Not to be missed!

Phoenix Park & Museum Quarter

2. Chester Beatty Library, Dublin Castle

Honestly, this one is an annual favourite. If you’re in any way interested in the art and history of the east and orient you’ll find a treasure trove of artefacts and more from sIr Alfred Chester Beatty’s collection. A great on for families on Culture Night 2015 with activity packs and tours. Also check out the Wicked Wit exhibition and a performance of Billie Holliday songs by Edel Meade.

Liberties & Historic Quarter

3. Dublinia, Christ Church

Another super fun one for the family. Immerse yourself in Medieval and Viking Dublin with the sights, sounds and (um) smells of Dublin through the ages. Best of all, on Culture Night 2015 it’s free in so you could save €24 on a family ticket!

Liberties & Historic Quarter

4. The Gutter Bookshop, Temple Bar

Honestly, this one is a favourite year on year. A must for all the bookworms out there – with everything from readings to installations and musical performances. It is one of the places to be on Culture Night 2015!

Temple Bar & Creative Quarter

5. Focus Ireland, Temple Bar

Last, but by no means least, for today is an open evening at the Coffee Shop of Ireland’s homeless charity, Focus Ireland. Culture Night is all about immersing yourself in Dublin’s Fair City and her culture. Unfortunately, with a growing crisis in the city, homelessness is a large aspect of our culture at present. Step inside the inner workings of this great charity to learn about their history on Culture Night 2015. There will also be a special performance from the stars of RTE documentary – High Hopes Choir.

So, now that we’ve whetted you’re appetite, be sure to check back in with us tomorrow for another 5 great things to see and do on Culture Night 2015 in Dublin.
