Culture Night 2015 in Dublin is upon us – well almost!

It’s the day of Culture Night and we’ve got 5 more tips on some cool stuff to see and do in the city tonight…for free!

1. The Book Of Kells, Trinity College

We can all admit, we haven’t seen this since the school tour of 1989 where we probably enjoyed the bus ride more than the tour itself. But now that we’re all growed up, and it’s free on Culture Night 2015, this could be a great excuse to rekindle a passion for our literary history. The library in which the book is housed is stunning in itself, but this 9th century illuminated manuscript really is one of a kind. Get there early, queues will be long!

Trinity & South Georgian Quarter

2. Windmill Lane Recording Studios

For one night only, Culture Night 2015, wannabe rock stars can experience the magic of a live music recording in one of the world’s most famous studios. Follow in the footsteps of giants like U2, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, REM, Elvis Costello and, yes, even the Spice Girls while exploring this mainstay of Irish music production.

The Docklands

3. Dublin Buddhist Centre, James Joyce Street

Take a moment and zen out on Culture Night 2015 at the Dublin Buddhist Centre. Maybe your feet are a little warn at this stage or your brain is overwhelmed with the sights, sounds and smells of Dublin’s cultural offerings. Try an intro yoga or meditation class or end the night with an amazing Mantra Chanting Experience. You won’t be disappointed!

Monto & North Georgian Quarter

4. The Ark, Temple Bar

Another earlier opener for families, this children’s cultural centre will open it’s doors at 10am for Culture Night 2015. There will be readings of crazy poems, silly songs and nonsense verse that should have both children and adults rolling on the floor with laughter. Discover your inner kid, or bring along the 6+’s, at this great event.

Temple Bar & Creative Quarter

5. Generator Dublin, Smithfield

For the more adventurous, here’s another way to end your Culture Night 2015 experience Groove your way into the small hours with Generator Dublin, along with the Dublin Tropical Team, who will be dishing out some sick beats and hot grooves to keep you dancing through the night and into the next morning.
